Family: My beautiful wife Lupe, our 3 adult children Michell, Steven, and Stacy

Hometown: Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico but came to live in California when I was 14 yrs. old.

Refuge became part of my family… Sept 2020 when I was invited to come and teach temporarily for the Spanish Ministry while a permanent pastor was found. After doing it for 2 years the Lord and the pastors at Refuge gave me the privilege of fulfilling that role.

I became a Christian... A friend invited me to a Christian church and the pastor was teaching about the prodigal son as well as repentance of our sins. While I was listening, I felt I needed to repent of my sins, and I accepted the Lord as my Lord and Savior 40 years ago.

What is a random task that you do at Refuge that not many people know about?

I put out the Spanish Ministry info sign on Sunday mornings.

What's your coffee order? I don’t drink regular coffee, but I absolutely love cappuccino and Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate drink.

A book you would recommend to everyone? Besides the bible, The Resolution for Men, as well as, the version for Women.
