Family: I have a beautiful wife, Lucia, and my amazing boys, Judah and Aaron, and one on the way!
Hometown: Raised in Huntington Beach my whole life.
Refuge became part of my family… in 2010.
I became a Christian… I loved Jesus at a very early age. I loved learning about Him, going to church and learning about the Bible when I was younger. But like many of us, I walked away from the Lord in my High School years (which just shows the Lord’s sense of humor – since I am the High School pastor). It wasn’t until my college years that I realized that Jesus was my reason for living.
What is a random task that you do that not many people know about? I make sure the cold brew is never too full. I do this, of course, with the utmost care and sincerity.

The Best Movie is… besides D2: The Mighty Ducks, which is objectively the greatest movie of all time, I would say either Avatar (blue people one) or the Count of Monte Cristo.
What is your coffee order? Ethiopian Guji, please. If not, I’ll take your cold brew.
What is your dream vacation spot? Anywhere my wife is. Also Switzerland.
What book would you recommend to everyone? Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan is a must read for all believers! (editor’s note: It’s true, David recommends this book to everyone. Multiple times. Even when he knows you’ve already read it.)
