Bags of Hope
Ministry Leader: Anne & LaShawn RiversBags of Hope is a ministry that prepares care bags containing hygiene items for our homeless friends. We meet to assemble the bags and host a table in the foyer at Refuge, welcoming volunteers to join us in serving with compassion and care.
Beacon4Victims
Ministry Leader: LeeDelle KasperBeacon4Victims is an anti-human trafficking ministry led by LeeDelle and Larry Kasper, raising awareness of trafficking in our cities and mobilizing churches, schools, and communities to combat this modern-day slavery.
Chains Be Broken
Ministry Leader: Ted HorvathWe minister to the incarcerated in Orange County by going into the county jail system. We offer worship, testimony, the Word of God, and the message of salvation with encouragement. We share Jesus with them.
Christ, Cancer, & You
Ministry Leader: Patty DawsonA scripture-driven meeting and fellowship with like-minded Christians who are in treatment or who have dealt with cancer. All support people are welcome also. We meet once a month at 7 pm in the Prayer Room.
Convalescent Ministry
Ministry Leader: Micahel RogersThe Convalescent Ministry does a Senior Living Chapel Service that brings worship, praise, and the teaching of God’s Word to residents of senior community living facilities, offering companionship and prayer support.
Divine Intervention
Ministry Leader: Chuck CotrellThe Veterans Ministry provides biblical comfort, guidance, and prayer to military members, veterans, their families, and supporters. We offer Bible study, fellowship, and outreach to homeless veterans, those in VA hospitals, and others in care facilities.
Food Pantry
Ministry Leader: Dave LindsayOur ministry’s goal is to feed the needy both physically and spiritually. We receive donations from local grocery stores and food banks and distribute them to those in need with no questions, documentation, or requirements for church attendance. We strive to foster an environment of respect, fellowship, and hospitality.
Foster Care & Adoption
Ministry Leader: Edwin & Robin Ann FabrosThe Refuge Foster & Adoption Ministry raises awareness, educates, and equips Refuge families to support children and parents through partnerships with local ministries and organizations, advocating, resourcing, training, mentoring, and caring.
Kitchen
Ministry Leader: Felicia MuñozOur mission is to support the food needs of our Refuge Ministries as they reach people for Christ. Join us to plan, prepare, and serve meals for the Body while keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and organized. Serve through event set-up/break-down, meal prep, food serving, dishwashing, and occasional deep cleaning. No experience necessary!
Lunch & Prayer
Ministry Leader: Robin & Scott We meet the basic needs of our local homeless community and share the love of Jesus. Each Thursday, 11:00–12:30 in the Refuge foyer/café, we offer Bible study, prayer, fellowship, a hot meal, donated groceries, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, blankets, phones, and resource information.
Refuge Recovery
Ministry Leader: Chuck CotrellA welcoming place for real hope and deep healing. We share our experience, strength, and the life-changing gospel of Jesus to support all in recovery—formerly incarcerated and gang-involved individuals, those overcoming addiction, survivors of trafficking, veterans, youth, and people experiencing homelessness.
Widows Hope
Ministry Leader: Patty PoynterA Christ-centered space where ladies who’ve lost their husbands can navigate life alongside other ladies with their shared situations. Participants receive spiritual support, practical resources, and compassionate fellowship to help them heal and move forward.
