About Me

Chris and Doah Hayes are heading to Taichung, Taiwan, to begin their first term as career missionaries to reach the Hakka people for Christ. Chris and Doah will begin by immersing themselves in the language and culture so that they will be able to effectively communicate the gospel in the heart language of the Hakka. There are over 4.6 million Hakka living in Taiwan, and less than 0.5 percent of them know the Lord. There are currently only 12 missionaries actively engaging with this unreached people group, and half of them will be retiring in the next few years. Due to the great need among the Hakka, Chris and Doah are answering the call to make disciples among this unreached people group. Their heart desires to lead as many as they can to Jesus Christ by developing deep relationships and participating in church planting efforts with their mission organization, SEND International.

Prayer Requests

• Chris and Doah as they learn Chinese and transition to a whole new culture

• The tensions between China and Taiwan, and that the Lord would protect Taiwan

• That the people of Taiwan would come to know Christ

• That God would establish reproducing churches among the Hakka people
